Jacob Emmanuel Mabe was born in 1959 in Mandoumba (Cameroon). He holds two doctorates in political science and in philosophy, and a habilitation for teaching at universities. He is Professor for Philosophy, and Visiting Scholar at the France Centre of the Free University Berlin. He is Chairman of the Anton-William- Amo Society, and former President of the German Association for French-Language Philosophy.
